WHY WE LIKE IT

Location. It’s right in between Notting Hill and Knightsbridge, close to the fabulous V&A Museum, and right across the street from Hyde Park. The service was top notch–when we needed two Internet connections (impossible with just one in-room jack), a wireless modem was immediately connected for our use.

AMENITY WE LOVE

The coffee culture. Illy espresso machines in room. Real-live Italian cappuccino at Brunello Bar, which can be appreciated with a side of free Wi-Fi (if you must).

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Just a little bit over the top (and dark) for us, for anything other than a way naughty weekend. When in London, we prefer to channel British, leaving the Italian vibe for Rome. But that’s just us.

GOOD TO KNOW

Discreet entrance. Double check that the water given in-room is complimentary before drinking- while we were not charged, we’ve heard accounts both ways on this. At the Brunello Bar, splurge on their signature drink called the Russian Rose (includes real gold dust and rose petals!). Rooms are seriously sexy, featuring over-the-top bathrooms with lots of mirrors. Member of the Baglioni Group with other properties located in Italy and France.
