British with a distinct hint of Italian, this boutique hotel (borderline B&B) in a Chelsea townhouse is a comfortable, warm, and romantic home away from home. Rooms feature antiques from around the world (not our preferred style but we appreciated its charm).

Great location near Sloane Square, cozy ambiance, and friendly service.The rooftop terrace is also great in summer.

The staff makes a mean cappuccino (it’s the Italian thing).
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The double rooms (Deluxe and Superior) are less refined and interesting, and many of them could use a spruce. So, we highly recommend going for one of the suite classes if you elect to stay here (Gallery Suite, Junior Suite).

There is variation in room quality and design. If you don’t like the first offer, ask to see another. San Domenico house is part of a small family-owned hotel group with other small properties in Italy.
