VIBE
Young, hip, party crowd. High-concept design accents include golden seats and life-sized chess pieces. Guest rooms include controlled colored “mood” lighting installations and floor-to-ceiling windows.
GO HERE WITH
Friends - you can party at Asia de Cuba, Light Bar, and Bungalow 8, and then head to a nearby show.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Great choice for a hip haunt in the Theater District.
AMENITY WE LOVE
Just as at the Sanderson, we like the facilities at St Martins Lane more than the rooms themselves: Asia de Cuba, Light Bar, Bungalow 8, and Gym Box.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Rooms are starting to show a bit of wear and tear, and the lowest room classes are quite small. Some complain of poor service.
GOOD TO KNOW
Asia de Cuba showcases Philippe Starck design and a young, hip crowd. St. Martins Lane is part of Morgans Hotel Group, which includes Ames (Boston), Mondrian (Los Angeles, Scottsdale, Miami), Hudson (New York), Royalton (New York), Morgans (New York), Clift (San Francisco), Delano (Miami), and Shore Club (Miami).
