    VIBE

Refined Michelin-starred dining. The cool minimalism of the black-and-cream dining room is crisp and polished, the cuisine riotously sumptuous. Well-heeled Chelsea diners (and knowledgeable foodies from farther afield) rave about the complex yet concise flavor combinations and the fabulous presentation, some even going so far as to dub this the best food in town.

    CROWD

An affluent, discerning clientele, ranging from expense-accounting business diners and Francophile foodies to well-coiffed ladies who lunch and couples out for a special occasion.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

It’s dressy–boys need jackets and girls should don something tres elegant. We’d wear a sophisticated dress, designer heels, and accessories of the pearl, diamond, or gold variety.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The cuisine is creative and intelligent, the pared-down setting elegant without being over the top. A good spot for special occasion dining or a business meal, especially if you seek to impress.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Everything was lovely, but the service could take things up just a smidge to match the exquisite food.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Besides the normal menu, they’ve also recently launched "Tom’s Classic Menu," which is simpler and focuses on seasonal ingredients. If you’re dining a la carte, you can mix and match between the two.
