Like the hotel itself, the Spa at Mandarin Oriental focuses on joining East and West (Swedish to Shiatsu) to bring the very best to its discerning clients. The décor of the three-level facility, complete with dark woods, carvings, water features, and stone sculptures, has a distinctly eastern flavor.
GO HERE WITH
A great place to go alone, but also fun with a couple of quiet friends since the complimentary shared facilities are excellent to enjoy with others. Note that most of the facilities are separated by gender.
WHY WE LIKE IT
The prettiest spa we saw in London, with the best water/relaxation facilities and outstanding treatments to boot.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The 1 hour 50 minute time minimum for non-hotel guests is blissfully long, but we found it hard to find that kind of time in our schedule (and it gets pricey!).
GOOD TO KNOW
The spa suggests you to simply book time (with perhaps a general idea of what you are looking for), and then allow a therapist to tailor a package to your needs. These ‘Time Rituals’ ensure an individualized experience. Plan for an extra hour (on top of your treatment) to enjoy the facilities.
