VIBE
The soft jazz bubbling from the stereo is the most extravagant decoration in this refined, understated Michelin-starred eatery. The series of long, elegant dining spaces is sparsely decorated with only demure seaside-inspired touches in order to allow the phenomenal fresh-from-sea cuisine to shine.
CROWD
This is a popular wine-and-dine spot, so there are lots of couples and exec types out for a swanky meal. Ultra foodies and celebs make appearances, too. When we were there at lunch, the restaurant appeared to have a large number of regulars that knew each other.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
It’s upper upscale casual–we’d go with a simple cocktail dress and refined accessories. A suit or business casual wear at lunch works fine.

WHY WE LIKE IT
The food is divine, and the restrained setting a nice change from the usual LA bling. We had wonderful service throughout the meal including impeccable ordering suggestions and a fun amuse bouche trio to whet our palate.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Nothing.
GOOD TO KNOW
If you’re looking for a change from wine, the bartender can also whip up custom cocktail pairings to accompany your meal. For ultimate intimacy, try to snag the white booth.
