    VIBE

Très romantique. The Little Door’s fairy-light bedecked Mediterranean patios and low-ceilinged French farmhouse interiors transport diners to a romantically rustic hideaway en Provence. We love that a relatively large restaurant is divided into so many small and interesting different spaces. Though the authentic southern French-Moroccan fare and fabulous wine list delight discerning palates, it’s the charming ambiance that’s the major draw. An ideal setup for gazing sappily into someone’s eyes and waxing poetic about the starlight.

    CROWD

Used to be a solid pack of über-foodies, as well as couples and small groups out for a special occasion, but there’s now a fair few film industry insiders and attendant starlets talking shop, too.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

It’s upscale casual–we’d wear a relaxed but sophisticated little dress and low heels.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

You can’t help but get swept up in the ambiance. (And if for some crazy reason you can help it, the excellent hummus and wines by the glass still make it worth the visit.)

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The patio is noisy and cramped (kind of detracts from the romance)–we’d space out the tables.

    GOOD TO KNOW

The Little Door can be hard to find–look for the unmarked door next to sister venue The Little Next Door café/deli. If you’re just coming for drinks, the wine bar is open on Friday and Saturday from 6:00pm-1:00am.
