WHY WE LIKE IT

You get the trappings of the fabulous Firmdale chain for less. Sure, you skimp on the restaurants, bars, and gym that other Firmdale properties offer, but you can still relish all the design and ambiance. And the location can’t be beat: a quiet street right in Knightsbridge.

AMENITY WE LOVE

Well-stocked DVD library–take one out and watch in your room! And the common areas (library and drawing room) prove a fashionable and comfortable retreat after a tiring day of shopping.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

It would be nice to have a gym on premises. And while the lack of a restaurant isn’t a problem per se given the hotel’s location in the heart of Knightsbridge, we do wish the hotel had a formal breakfast room so that we could enjoy our English Breakfast at a table (versus in-room or on the couches of the public areas).

GOOD TO KNOW

A few rooms are beneath the ground floor; explicitly request to stay away from these on booking.
