VIBE
Charming townhouse. Public areas such as the reception and library are inviting, and the rooms are comfortable if on the smaller size. Pleasant service.
GO HERE WITH
Yourself. This is a welcoming hotel particularly for those traveling alone (due to room size). A significant other may enjoy the coziness as well.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Personal service. Even after just one night, the staff knows your name and really does make you feel welcome.
AMENITY WE LOVE
Linens–the luxurious Frette bedding had us looking forward to bedtime.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Rooms next to the elevator (oh, sorry, we mean lift)–make sure you’re not in these rooms because you can faintly hear the gears going up and down.
GOOD TO KNOW
Be sure to take advantage of the hotel’s library of books and DVDs. The Pelham is the sister hotel to The Gore and until 2007 was a Firmdale hotel. The King Suite has floor-to-ceiling windows, with an old England feel. The Mews Suite has split-level accommodation with private entrance on Cromwell Mews, making it perfect for families.
