VIBE
Hot, hot, hot boutique hotel that’s as hip and chic as they come. (Don’t believe us? Just look at all the celebs–from rockstars to Joel Robuchon–that it draws.) It’s located in the middle of Soho, but on a quiet inner street. The rooms are decorated in that delightfully unique Firmdale aesthetic (think oversized fabric-covered headboards and tailor’s dummies) and are surprisingly large.

WHY WE LIKE IT
It’s glamorous, the rooms are large and bright, the staff is helpful and very friendly, and it’s in the middle of Soho (read: bars and restaurants abound). Plus it’s got cool design elements and a funky media crowd. What more can we say?
AMENITY WE LOVE
DVD library stocked with all our favorite Hollywood/British flicks, along with that Firmdale staple–screening rooms (there are two here!).
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Cab availability: due to the secluded cul-de-sac locale, cabs can be hard to come by.
GOOD TO KNOW
There’s another entrance to the hotel via Refuel Bar, which will take you to Wardour Street (much more convenient than the “front entrance”). The famous opt for the sprawling terrace suite, with its views over Soho’s rooftops, but we love the deluxe rooms on the fifth floor, especially 509. The screening rooms can be rented out, and the hotel offers other private function rooms of various sizes and designs. The hotel is part of the Firmdale Group, which includes the likes of Haymarket Hotel (London), Covent Garden Hotel (London), Charlotte Street Hotel (London), Knightsbridge Hotel (London), Number Sixteen (London), and Crosby Street Hotel (New York).
