VIBE
Glamorous yet clubby hotel feel, with art deco touches consistent with the hotel design. Décor features include a silver-leafed ceiling, green glass chandelier, and red leather banquettes which are the best seats (versus at the bar). The crowd tends toward the mature end. The room is intimate.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
A business suit; a conservative cocktail dress; well-appointed smart casual attire.

CROWD
Generally older well-dressed crowd and business types, peppered with wealthy tourists.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Fantastic cocktails and an extensive wine and champagne list (including by-the-glass options) in decidedly British surroundings.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Like any hotel bar, there is a tourist twist to the place.
GOOD TO KNOW
The bar is semi-hidden (make a right at the main hotel entrance, and continue until you see the bar on the right). Also note that there are a number of bars in the hotel including The Foyer (best for tea) and Le Fumoir (a sexy 1930s style venue).
CLOSEST COMPS
Bar at The Dorchester (London); Bar 228 at Le Meurice (Paris)
