Contemporary elegance. While the soft white color palate, layers of starched table linens, designer china, and delicate flower vases speak to an old-school style of fine dining, the stylish layout and execution give this haven of haute cuisine a contemporary, rather than stuffy, feel.

A well-heeled blend of business diners, special occasioners, celebs, and society butterflies. Oh, and people who just like delicious, refined, elegant food (that’s us!).

WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Something elegant, like a little black dress, fantastic heels, and chic accessories. (For men, jackets are preferred.) There is a dress code: jeans, t-shirts, and sportswear are not accepted.

WHY WE LIKE IT

The food and service are exquisite, and the ambiance perfectly pitched. We went solo, and the host was wonderfully accommodating and entertaining without being bothersome.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Nothing, although the tough reservations game isn’t very fun, but it’s understandable–this is worth the hype.

GOOD TO KNOW

Gordon doesn’t actually work the kitchen anymore, but the three Michelin stars still hold, and the menu continues to feature his signature updated French classics. You can book online up to two months in advance or by phone up to three months in advance.
