    VIBE

This local chainlet of Chinese restaurants boldly advertises its "innovative" stir-fries and reasonably priced set menus, but the real reason for popping in is the dreamy dim sum bites. The decor is blah (some outdated Chinoiserie on the walls, fusty gold chairs) and the service iffy, but such downers don’t seem to have put anyone off, as the lines can run long for weekend dim sum sittings.

    CROWD

A fairly rambunctious blend of dim sum connoisseurs, locals, and families (with a few incongruous daters mixed in too).

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

It’s pretty casual–we’d wear jeans or a comfy skirt, boots, and cute top.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The dim sum is delish. If you’re willing to brave the lines, it’s great for a dim sum lunch with friends on the weekend.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The slip-shod, moody service needs to shape up.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Dim sum is only served until 4:45pm, so make sure you get there with plenty of time to spare. They also do pretty good (and speedy) take out.
