VIBE
Set in the rafters of an old church, it has an historic feel to it during daylight; at night, one can only imagine the spook factor.

WHY WE LIKE IT
This is a fascinating glimpse into the past: antiquated operating tools and other medicinal apparatuses on display give visitors an appreciation for modern medicine. Herbal exhibits are also quite interesting as one sees homeopathic remedies from centuries ago.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Lack of bathroom in the museum. You have to go downstairs to the church’s restroom.
GOOD TO KNOW
The oldest surviving operating theater in the country (dating back to 1822) used in the days before anesthetics and antiseptic surgery. If you have a hard time with stairs, this is not a good museum for you; you must climb a winding iron staircase to get to the museum. Also, if you have an active imagination and are faint-of-heart, you may want to pass on visiting.
