Reverent, but not intimidating. As a functioning church, it is on the quieter side. We missed the choirs’ performances, but we hear they’re delightful.

Peaceful atmosphere among beautiful windows and decorations, regardless of your denomination. The garden alongside the cathedral is pleasant to sit in, especially on your way to/from Borough Market.

Not much. It’s a lovely cathedral.
GOOD TO KNOW
Oldest church site in London dating back to at least 606 AD with bits of an ancient Roman road and other architectural wonders to be found here as well. The cathedral’s single-sex choirs are allowed to sing together only twice a year.
