WHY WE LIKE IT

The remote mountain setting is a lovely change from central Beijing’s concrete jungle. Breathtaking views of the Great Wall and the invigorating fresh air leave us feeling pampered and relaxed long after our treatment is over.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The location. With a two-hour drive away from the city center to get here, it’s really not worth it unless you’re staying at the hotel. This is a modern and bright spa–if traditional, warm-colored, cozy spas are more your style, this is not for you.

GOOD TO KNOW

When booking, definitely ask for a treatment room with a view of the Great Wall. If you don’t want to make the trek from the city just for one treatment, check out their menu of weekend retreat packages, which usually include luxury accommodation, hikes on the Great Wall, and yoga overlooking the mountains. If you’ve got children in tow, there’s a kids’ club for them to hang out in while you get pampered.
