This offbeat Mexican joint in Notting Hill is hipster-pleasingly retro-kitsch to the max. The edgy black-walled basement bar is decked out in riotously colorful Mexicana and pounds of-the-moment Latin tunes on the sound system. There’s not a lot of seating, the cramped tables become quasi-communal when it’s crowded, and the lines at the door can be long, but the strong drinks are worth it. Perfect for a rowdy evening of tequila tasting or tropical cocktails with your amigas.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
It’s really casual - jeans and a funky t-shirt are fine.

A mix of well-heeled Notting Hill locals and the young-and-cool set.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Margaritas are delish, and the kitsch Mexicana vibe is fun.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
No reservations policy means potentially looooong waits for tables, and once past the door, the service is super slow. The bar can get crowded. The food is fine, but nothing to write home about.
GOOD TO KNOW
Crazy Homies is mostly a restaurant, with a bar area (including seating) attached – the food isn’t fantastic, but the ground floor has a fun sunny café groove. If you like the vibe, try the other Notting Hill hotspots run by owner Tom Conran, Lucky Seven Diner (attached to Crazie Homies) and The Cow.
