    VIBE

While the outside of the building is a little dated (it has all the charm of a ’70s condo block), the chic-minimalism-meets-Asia interior décor is as swank as they come. Be prepared for pretentions galore, as jetsetting fashionistas (think Armani and Julia Roberts) hog the scene, while post-op celebs keep the valet bells ringing non-stop. Nabbing one of the hot pool loungers is tougher than scoring an Oscar. Rooms are beautiful with massive walk-in closets and bathrooms that feature soaking tub, shower for two, and terry robes.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

    They. Spoil. Us. Rotten.

    AMENITY WE LOVE

Too many to name…how about the choice of robes? Or the hot pool? Or the complimentary mini-bar (alcohol not included)?

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The business center needs an upgrade–it’s too public and poorly equipped (the printing facilities are particularly outdated).

    GOOD TO KNOW

Check-in and check-out times are flexible, so if you’re turning up in the early-early morning or need to nip out for one last Rodeo Drive spree before heading to LAX, they won’t mind. They’re also very accommodating with pets (as long as they’re under 40 lbs). If you’re coming from overseas and can’t get phone service, ask for a house cell phone.
