This Art Deco Hollywood gem thrived from the ’30s to the ’60s as a luxury apartment complex to the stars. (John Wayne, Elizabeth Taylor, and Marilyn Monroe all hung their respective hats here.) After being rescued from demolition in 2005, the building’s beautiful and quirky original features were lovingly restored, and sleek new amenities were tastefully and subtly integrated into the design. The Sunset Tower once again radiates old Hollywood romance and is yet again a "destination" for Tinseltown trendsetters. The views from the jazzy Tower Bar are unbeatable, and the spa is one of the best in town.
