We love how they’ve managed a funky retro look that’s still classy and luxurious–all too often such endeavors have an unfortunate touch of the seedy in LA. Also, the amenities here are superb.

Would be nice if it were right on the beach (it’s a couple of blocks away).

GOOD TO KNOW

If you want a room with a view, ask for either one facing the Pacific or one with city views (on the seventh or eighth floor). This is a popular spot for weddings–it’s a good idea to inquire about them when you book, or you might feel crowded out by wedding parties.
