    VIBE

A rambunctious crowd of enthusiastic foodlovers is packed in tight at this ultra-popular osteria. Pushing an authentic Italian concept, the décor here is all about the clean lines of rustic simplicity–this is a spot for those seriously focused on what’s on their plate, not the look, and it’s 100% authentic on that front. Chit-chat with dining companions is tricky over the din of the crowds, but the cheerfully flirtatious service keeps the plates of divine homestyle eats coming.

    CROWD

The sophisticated menu draws an über-foodie crowd, while the “buzz” it’s generated pulls in power scene punters.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Something smart enough to fit with the put-together, but no need to go overboard (save the sparkles for a night when you don’t need to fight the food to be center of attention).

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The food is phenomenal. We’ve been dreaming about the lasagna verde…

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The space between tables is tiny. Shimmying into seats, shouting over the racket, and balancing plates on the space-saving tables can get old fast.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Chef Gino Angelini’s inventive Italian fare has attracted celeb fans as diverse as Pavarotti and the Pope.
