    VIBE

Local chain The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf is popular with the Tinseltown in-crowd, and this location particularly so. Screenwriters pack in for the camaraderie, and gossip blogger Perez Hilton famously made this his first "office" for good reason: celebs are known to breeze in for their daily brew. For those looking to get some work done, this is a safe bet for plenty of table space and free Wi-Fi.

    CROWD

Really varied–everyone from screenwriters on laptops to trendy tweens, celebs, and business travelers.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Whatever you want–jeans and a t-shirt will definitely do the trick.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

Scrumptious Ice Blendeds (way better than Frappuccinos, we say), free Wi-Fi, and the celeb-packed scene. Also, kudos for clean tables and plenty of seating.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Drink options besides coffees and teas are limited–would be nice if they had more alternatives like juices.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Though they’re known as a local LA chain, they’ve recently been expanding rapidly across the US and Asia (including Bali!), so if you’re not from LA, keep an eye out for one opening near you.

    OTHER LOCATIONS

Over 750 locations globally; most US locations are in Southern California, while internal locations are mainly in Asia (including China, India, Kuwait, Malaysia, Singapore, and UAE).

    CLOSEST COMPS
