Elegantly colorful fine dining at Wolfgang Puck’s Michelin-starred flagship. Vibrant colors, a busy exhibition kitchen, and a wide stone patio with twinkling lights (ask to sit here in nice weather-it's the “power” section) transport diners a world away from the muted hush of most fine dining establishments while nimbly sidestepping the tacky and tawdry. Puck’s impeccable credentials make this a celeb magnet, but when he appears in the dining room, he greets everyone (celebs and non) with equally beaming smiles.

This is a hot spot for Hollywood power brokers and starlets, as well as “mere mortals” in for a special occasion.

WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

It’s upscale casual, and the crowd will be label watching. We’d wear an of-the-moment cocktail dress from a trendy designer and killer shoes. For guys, jackets and ties are generally worn, if not required.

WHY WE LIKE IT

Even though Puck no longer mans the kitchen, his signature menu still delights, and the relaxed-yet-upscale ambiance is lovely. Great for a romantic date or special occasion family meal.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

You need to know to ask for the terrace in advance, if you would like to sit there. Default is to seat you inside (even advance requests for outside are not always honored).

GOOD TO KNOW

This is Wolfgang Puck’s flagship, so he makes appearances here more frequently than at his plethora of other ventures. Other Puck venues around LA include CUT and Chinois. There’s valet parking available.
