Health conscious beautiful people congregate at the outside tables, wiling away a morning with one of Urth’s signature organic drinks and low-calorie breakfasts and lunches (sandwiches, salads). Peak times bring massive lines at the counter and tussles over tables.

CROWD

The crowd is largely of the “hip ladies who organic brunch” variety, mixed with a few ciggie-puffing models trying to look the part.

Jeans and a t-shirt will do. Some of the clientele look like they rolled in straight from bed or aerobics class.

WHY WE LIKE IT

Although Urth is all about healthy, what we really love are their luscious, not-so-healthy organic desserts. Perfect accompaniment to one of their lovely teas or coffees.

Is a latte and a snack really worth a 30-minute wait in line?

GOOD TO KNOW

It gets mega crowded, so either come early or be prepared to wait for one of the umbrella-ed tables on the patio.The Melrose location is good for celeb sightings, while the Santa Monica location is the best for long, leisurely breakfasts.
