    VIBE

Housed in the former American Radiators building (a Gothic revival tower that screams “Gotham City”), it may come as a shock to the uninitiated that the interiors of The Bryant Park have traded 20th century retro for shamelessly 21st century sex appeal. The slick black lobby is splashed with suggestive scarlet accents, while the stylishly modern, brightly lit rooms go for all-out seduction with coyly playful jewel-toned cushions, divine beds, and well-stocked intimacy kits. Fashion insiders pack in during spring and fall fashion weeks even though the shows have moved further uptown, while beautiful young things seeking a slinky escape book out the rooms all year round.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

Deliciously sensual, ever-so fashionable…a perfect spot for a romantic weekend or fashion-forward inspiration before we stock our wardrobes at nearby shopping meccas. (When we’re splashing out, we book a deluxe room or suite–gotta love those gleaming hardwood floors.)

    AMENITY WE LOVE

Koi, for sophisticated sushi bites and celeb-spotting. Also, the sound therapy machines in all rooms add an extra touch of chic city-style relaxation.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Though Cellar Bar is cool, it would be nice if there were more nightlife alternatives in the neighborhood.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Book WAY in advance if you would like to stay here during Fashion Week (September and February). If you’re looking for views, request a room overlooking the park. No pets allowed. There is a screening room in the basement that’s available for hire.
