    VIBE

Bubbly flows like water at this sumptuous lounge devoted to the many, many variations on fizzy wine. Although the Bubble Lounge founders claim their mission is along the lines of “champagne for the masses”, the USD 15 glasses of fizz and even pricier plates of caviar aren’t exactly bargain basement, nor are the oriental carpets and cushy red velvet divans “cheap chic.”

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Upscale casual; most stop in post-work, so you won’t look out of place in a suit, but we’d wear a swinging dress and fun heels.

    CROWD

Business types and work groups out for a swank office function, and nervous guys (and gals) popping the question over bubbly.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

It’s a posh way to kick off a fun night out or to celebrate something special. Two thumbs up on having such an extensive list of bubbly by the glass, too–we like trying a few different kinds rather than having to quaff a full bottle of one.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The décor could use a facelift–the backlit champagne bottles and once-plush carpets are starting to look a bit out-of-date and tired.

    GOOD TO KNOW

If champagne is not your thing, never fear! They’ve got spirits and cocktails galore as well. And if champagne really IS your thing, check out the well-stocked “e-boutique” on their website. This is also a popular spot for wedding receptions.
