    VIBE

Expect waits at this perpetually jammed gastropub. Blame it on English expat chef April Bloomfield, whose simplified, pork-heavy, haute-comfort-food menu lures famous faces on a regular basis. The cask-aged ale washes everything down easy, not to mention the 100-bottle wine list and signature cocktails. If you don’t want to commit to (or wait for) a table, this is a great place to stop by for a drink at the bar.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Casual. There’s no real dress code, but it attracts a stylish set so dress in an effortlessly cool sort of way.

    CROWD

It’s an eclectic mix of rowdy groups, foodies, and stylish neighborhood types.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The wood accents and pubby surrounds are homey, the food is delicious, the beer satisfying, the crowds happy-go-lucky, and the scene? You’d be hard-pressed to find a more trendy, this-is-where-New-York-comes-to-socialize dinner hour.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The waits are crazy, especially come nightfall.

    GOOD TO KNOW

Unless you’re dead set on experiencing the haute crowd, we’d suggest swinging by anytime before 5:00pm to ensure you get a seat. The Spotted Pig has held a Michelin Star for six years running.
