VIBE
This lively, spacious Greek seafood house manages the nifty indoor illusion of being an elegant Mediterranean courtyard, thanks to the creative arrangement of sleek curving concrete walls, large windows, and the occasional table umbrella. Fish lovers rave about the dazzling ice bar at the back, which displays the catch of the day (usually an impressive range of Mediterranean species), and where diners are encouraged to choose their dinner themselves. Corporate and upscale crowds dominate the scene, adding a chic, classy edge to the otherwise stark interior.
CROWD
Mostly Midtown business execs and expense accounters who can foot the bill, although there are occasional groups of splurging fish fanatics and dressed-up couples.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
Fairly dressy; at lunch keep it upscale casual with tailored business attire; for dinner try a more elegant blouse-and-skirt look.

WHY WE LIKE IT
We especially love selecting our fish (almost like fishing, but without the boat)!
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
If you’re on a budget, be careful–prices are by the pound, which makes the bill somewhat of a guessing game. (And a downright shock if you opt for the day’s best catch.)
GOOD TO KNOW
Outdoor seating is available and definitely recommended on sunny days. For those looking to fit in a show, take advantage of the convenient prix fixe and pre-/post- theater menus. Note that this is Mediterranean style food: seasonings are minimized to emphasize the fresh, pure ingredients. If you are in the mood for spice or lots of seasoning, you’d be better off looking elsewhere.
