VIBE
The triple Michelin-starred Jean Georges (named after its founding chef) is a refreshing vision of minimalism and refined sophistication. Located in the lobby level of the Trump International Hotel and Tower, the restaurant is at once modern and romantic, with ceiling-high windows providing fabulous views of Columbus Circle and Central Park, and bright white walls and linens adding classic elegance. The Asian-influenced French-American cuisine is known for its delicate flavors and balanced seasoning, and is always fresh, inventive, and without pretension. This is one of our absolute favorite spots in New York.
CROWD
Midtown professionals, couples, ladies who lunch, and those looking for a semi-private, elegant meal.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
The meal portions tend to be on the smaller side, so come for the flavors, not to stuff yourself silly.

WHY WE LIKE IT
The impeccable service, and the outstanding, inventive menu.

GOOD TO KNOW
The dining area is divided into two sections: the formal main dining room and the more casual (and less costly) Nougatine bar-lounge. There’s also the Terrace in good weather. At dinner, diners can choose between a three-course prix fixe meal or a seven-course tasting menu. If the meal you select just isn’t enough food, you can order additional à la carte courses (for example, the USD 38 two course lunch menu offers additional courses for USD 19 each and dessert for USD 8). We love how the lunch menu isn’t separated into appetizers and mains: you can select any two plates as part of the prix fixe.
