VIBE
This authentic Vietnamese restaurant takes to heart its chic Chelsea locale, conveying a fashionable vibe that complements the upscale flavors of its cuisine. This is the kind of place where locals and loyals converse comfortably over small candlelit tables in a chic brick-and-hardwood space. While the prices are higher than at Vietnamese dives in Chinatown, you’d be hard pressed to find a Vietnamese meal of equal quality in such an appealing setting. It’s a date-worthy destination for any couple in the mood for a taste of Southeast Asia.
CROWD
A stylish Chelsea set with a fair few daters and Vietnamese cuisine connoisseurs mixed in
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
We’d go fashionably casual with a tunic, leggings, ankle boots, and our latest handbag.

WHY WE LIKE IT
We love the intimacy, which can really up the ante when we’re out on a date. Also, we appreciated the stylish sophistication that sets it apart from most other Vietnamese joints around town. And aside from the tasty food, the cocktails are quite delicious (try the blood orange martini).
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
Not much at all. The service, the ambiance, and the food all keep us coming back here time and time again.
GOOD TO KNOW
While the pho is pretty good, we prefer the other dishes here. (We especially loved the steamed sea bass over cabbage noodles and the Vietnamese crepe with shrimp and bean sprouts.) Takeout and delivery are available for any not looking to make a night of it.
