VIBE
The chic and stylish flock to the Meatpacking District for this self-consciously flashy Standard Hotel hotspot. Beneath a gorgeous Guastavino vaulted ceiling and above a floor fashioned from nearly half a million copper pennies, fashion and media industry insiders dig into chef Dan Silverman’s surprisingly simple, wholesome market fare. Still, while the food may be understated, the drama returns with presentation. Quirky picnicking references abound– think dishes of rib eye set on the white checked tablecloths and topped by brown paper bags holding the day’s bread. The scene certainly creates quite a stir, but not so much as the menu’s surprising affordability.
CROWD
Scenesters from the fashion and media industries, foodies, and well-heeled Meatpacking types.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
We’d go stylishly casual with a chic blouse, skinny pants, boots, and a statement designer handbag.

WHY WE LIKE IT
The scene is electric–while we enjoyed the food, we loved the atmosphere even more.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The wait staff may be gorgeous, but the service is a bit spotty.
GOOD TO KNOW
Chef Dan Silverman used to be a chef at Lever House.
