VIBE
Minimalist Midtown hotel that caters to the business jetset with well-appointed suites. All decorations and conveniences are strictly functional–the corporate focus is overwhelmingly obvious. Interiors by David Rockwell are pleasingly serene, amenities keep pace with other fine hotels, and the onsite restaurant is fittingly fashionable. Just don’t expect the historic airs of the grand dames: form follows function at this business-minded spot.

WHY WE LIKE IT
The well-equipped suites make this a great choice for long-stay business types and families. We heartily approve of the handy Midtown location, too.
AMENITY WE LOVE
Well-stocked kitchenette.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The lobby is on the way-too-small side, and housekeeping needs more attention. Also, the reception is strictly business, bordering on the cold, unhelpful side.
GOOD TO KNOW
The Chrysler Building views are only really “views” if you’re in one of the deluxe suites. Also, if you are considering dining at Riingo, keep in mind that the lunch hour is extremely busy as it caters to the corporate crowd. Onsite meeting facilities can accommodate 8-40 guests, and there is a 24-hour business center. Twice daily housekeeping, limo services, babysitting, and pet amenities are all available.
