VIBE
Though the petite tapas plates are the true draw at this tiny Spanish tavern, no one can deny the deliciousness of its chilled sips, either–the exemplary cocktails reign supreme in this place. The Pomada, a basil gin lemonade, is so refreshing it’s worth the wait for one of the infuriatingly few stools (many end up gulping their drink standing up), and other bar highlights include the frozen brandy horchata, the generously poured glasses of sangria, and the fine Iberian wines. All of these pair perfectly with spicy nibbles like the sea urchin panino and cod fritters, served in quantities fit to tease.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
The crowd runs casual here; try a solid blouse with pleated pants, nice flats, and an accessory or two.

CROWD
Pre-dinner drinkers, Spanish expats, and a handful of classy couples.
WHY WE LIKE IT
Besides the refreshing cocktails (the gin-based Pomada was deliciously minty), we love the flirty service, the spicy small plates, and the atmospheric interior with its authentic Iberian flair.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The limited number of seats means, more often than not, you’ll be enjoying your drinks standing up.
GOOD TO KNOW
This bar comes from owners of Tía Pol. All wines hail from the Iberian Peninsula.
