VIBE
Though not as grandly opulent as many of its sister branches around the world, the Four Seasons Resort in Palm Beach certainly offers sumptuous quarters, albeit in a low-key atmosphere. Its six acres of quiet beachside property, with multiple alfresco dining options, a swimming pool, and unhindered views of the Floridian shore, allow for just the right combination of intimacy and space. Large windows, which overlook either the hotel’s garden perimeter or the captivating blues of the Atlantic waters, afford a pop of color to the otherwise softly neutral rooms.

WHY WE LIKE IT
An understated yet stately option–makes for a truly relaxing Palm Beach stay. We especially dig how the proximity to the shore puts guest rooms not only within view of the waves (the hotel is designed in a U-shape to maximize ocean views) but also within earshot–a sweet melody (and perfect perk) to fall asleep to. For those interested in burning off some of that beach-bum restlessness, the hotel plans outdoor programs, from tennis (two courts on-property) to sea turtle watching to water sports. Further, guests are granted access to the private Atlantis Golf Club, which is about 10-15 minutes off-property.
AMENITY WE LOVE
As well as being family friendly, this resort is great for business. Those working on the road will appreciate their 24-hour business center, multi-line phones with voicemail, wireless Internet, complimentary newspapers, and fax machines (available upon request).
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
While closer to town than the Ritz-Carlton, Palm Beach, it’s still a good 10 minute drive from Worth Avenue and the center of Palm Beach, which limits access to the town’s great shopping and dining options.
GOOD TO KNOW
Compared to its surrounding neighbors, the Four Seasons resort is more family friendly–it even allows children under the age of 18 to stay in rooms (in cribs or rollaways) for free, subject to maximum occupancy rules. All rooms are furnished with either king beds or separate double beds. A car rental desk is on site, as well as a multilingual concierge desk. Pets are also welcome.
