VIBE
The Palm Beach outlet of this chichi family-run chainlet of Milanese eateries is a total scene. The cream-and-brown dining room is billed as “relaxed,” but only in the Palm Beach sense–the linens are ultra starched, clinking crystal and silver are the main soundtrack, the bar is buzzing, and all diners are on high alert as they scan the room for faces of the rich or famous (or both). Make for the patio to nab one of the most desirable tables on the island.
CROWD
At lunch, it tends to be a business crowd and the ladies who lunch, but, in the evening, all of Palm Beach’s elite, from the socialites to the sexy celebs to the power brokers, make an entrance.
WHAT WE WOULD WEAR
Palm Beach upscale casual. By day, a flirty Lilly Pulitzer look would work, but in the evening we’d wear a sleek and summery cocktail dress accessorized with pricey bling and a designer bag.

WHY WE LIKE IT
We love eating on the pretty patio, and the vibrant bar scene is definitely worth checking out before or after dinner, too.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The indoor dining room can get really noisy when the schmoozing scene gets going. If you come on a peak night (a Saturday during The Season), you may have to wait a bit for your table, even with a reservation.
GOOD TO KNOW
Bice was started in Milan in 1926 by Beatrice “Bice” Ruggeri, and the company is still run by the Ruggeri family. Valet parking is available from 3:00pm onwards. If you want a table on the patio, ask for it when you make your reservation. The best patio tables are in the back of the restaurant in a picturesque Worth Avenue via, not along the side near the bar. Note that the restaurant’s main entrance is on Peruvian Avenue, not on Worth Avenue.
