Theater fanatics, at ease! While Palm Beach itself is lacking in playhouses, just across the bridge in West Palm Beach sits the Kravis Center, one of the Southeast’s premier music and performing arts centers. Thanks to its impressive endowment, the three venues within the center (the 2,000+ seat Dreyfoos Concert Hall, the 300-seat Rinker Playhouse, and the 1,400-seat outdoor Gosman Amphitheater) play host to a varied program of internationally acclaimed events that range from Kenny Loggins concerts to experimental modern dance performances to Shakespearean drama. This is also home to the Miami City Ballet, the Palm Beach Opera, and the Palm Beach Pops.

Best spot around for live theater and music performances. The lovely facility still feels new (it opened in 1992) and is very well appointed, and the program of events is varied and interesting.
