Renowned New York-based spa concept exhale has made its way down to the Sunshine State, setting its first Florida outpost in the chic and trendy Omphoy Resort. Drawing from the hotel’s young-leaning clientele, it offers the latest exercise and spa therapies in addition to more traditional services like massages, facials, and skin treatments. As part of Exhale's signature focus on balancing inner and outer well-being, the 2,500-square-foot space is divided into a full-service spa and a yoga studio, where professional trainers lead classes on everything from increasing flexibility to aerobics. Outside there’s a tranquil meditation garden with teak pagodas and flower-filled reflection areas ideal for centering your calm.

WHY WE LIKE IT

The spa focuses on rejuvenation in all areas of the body, from skin regime to fitness, mental focus to nutrition.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Compared to other spots in the area, some of the “extras” are lacking here. There are no lockers, whirlpools, or the like. (Note that there is a small bathroom/shower/changing room and relaxation lounge, and meditation garden–just less plush than comparable properties in the area).

GOOD TO KNOW

This spa is open to the public, though hotel guests can score a discount. The spa requests that guests arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled therapy, so that they have ample time to shower, enjoy their complimentary cup of tea, or check out the meditation gardens. For safety reasons, guests who arrive later than ten minutes into the start of any mind/body class are not permitted entry.
