The Breakers spared no expense on its spa, setting aside a vast piece of prime real estate in order to bring its vision to life. If you don’t get lost in the treatments themselves (perhaps an alfresco massage in their private Oceanfront Sanctuary or skin-balancing Seaweed Bubble Bath), you will in the extensive facilities. From the outdoor lap pool and private relaxation courtyard to the full-service fitness center, this vast relaxation center ensures an ultimate escape.

WHY WE LIKE IT

The extensive facilities enable us to enjoy a full day here with ease (forget getting bored in a lounge waiting for your therapist–there’s a courtyard to explore! A manicure to be had!). From the fitness center to the salon, steam room, and saunas, there’s little we’re left looking for in a spa. (Especially since, if you book a treatment, you get use of the spa facilities for the day!) Plus, we dig the luxurious Guerlain products.

WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

Prices are high. Also note that while use of all facilities is included in the treatment price, hotel guests that have not booked a treatment on any given day will need to pay a USD 30 day rate for access to the spa facilities (sauna, steam, fitness). A 20% gratuity is automatically added to all bills, regardless of the quality of service (one of our big peeves!).

GOOD TO KNOW

Unsurprising considering it houses 17 private treatment rooms in addition to bungalows and terraces, this pampering-centric spa’s menu focuses on long, luxurious treatments and isn't the place for someone in a rush. Rather, a full day of scheduled relaxation and rejuvenation ensures the most fulfilling experience. Keep in mind that the spa requires that all guests book a minimum of one hour of treatments (not, for example, a simple 25 minute Sea Salt Scrub). A 50% service charge will follow any cancellation with less than 24 hours notice, and a 100% charge will be incurred for no-shows. If you are not staying in the hotel, park your car with valet parking at the main entrance, but note that the spa is located in the beach club area.
