    VIBE

With its Med-inspired architecture, plethora of pretty fountains and plazas (or should that be piazzas?), and Euro-style sidewalk cafés and shops, this chichi 600,000-square-foot West Palm Beach mall is a pedestrian shopper’s paradise. Retail offerings tend towards upscale national chains (Armani Exchange, Anthropologie, Banana Republic, BCBG Max Azaria, Williams-Sonoma), though there are a handful of beachy picks (C. Orrico and Tommy Bahama) as well as a Macy’s and a vast Barnes & Noble. The shops are supplemented by a bevy of dining, nightlife, and entertainment offerings, making this a good spot to chill with a few friends for an afternoon or evening.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

We like the mix of shopping, dining, and other activities. We usually cap off our low-key stroll through the shops with dinner and a movie at the flashy new IMAX cinema.

    GOOD TO KNOW

There’s a decent selection of nightlife options here, too, in case you’d like to strut your new duds in festive surrounds. Plus, there’s a historic trolleybus which provides transportation between here and nearby Clematis Street, making it that much easier to paint the town red post-shop. Parking is available in the onsite garage for USD 1-2 per hour, depending on the time of day/night. Hours for Macy’s, dining, nightlife, and entertainment outlets may vary.
