VIBE
Classic French country charm matched with decidedly urbane service and amenities. First impressions are unquestionably charming: a cobblestone walkway leads through a black wrought iron gate and up to an antique door framed with colorful flowerboxes and wide windows. Once inside this former 16th century cloister, the grainy wood floors, lush carpets, and antique furniture and paintings keep things feeling deliciously Old World. But while the surrounds may lean towards antiquated, this is not your grandmother’s hotel–the service is a trendy take on impeccable and, while small, the tranquil spa and gym match any luxury resort in the city.

WHY WE LIKE IT
Its hidden location makes us feel like we’ve uncovered one of Paris’s secret gems. (And once through the door, we revel in the terribly historic French atmosphere and the lavish creature comforts.)
AMENITY WE LOVE
The spa. Located under the 13th century stone vaults, it’s utterly atmospheric and comes complete with a sauna, Jacuzzi, and fitness equipment.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
There aren’t any full-service dining options on site.
GOOD TO KNOW
The best rooms are the first-floor suites with beautiful private courtyards. That said, every room has a view (of the garden, courtyard, or a private street). For those saddled with a car on Paris’s tricky streets, there’s a private car park and valet service.
CLOSEST COMPS
