Vintage fanatics go weak in the knees for Didier Ludot’s eponymous boutique at 25 Galerie Montpensier in the posh stone-flagged arcades at Palais Royale. While its gorgeous, lovingly curated collection of vintage red carpet wear from designers like Givenchy, Dior, and YSL is its claim to fame, it also carries a stellar range of ready-to-wear from the ’20s to the ’80s. Across a small grassy courtyard, sister location 125 Galerie de Valois is known as “La Petite Robe Noire” (the little black dress) and carries (you guessed it!) little black dresses, both vintage pieces and original creations by Ludot himself.

Au revoir mothballed consignment shops, hello sexy vintage. Didier Ludot’s pieces are gorgeous, and the helpful staff is always at the ready to help you find something fabulous. (And for the couture-hungry on a budget, although this boutique isn’t inexpensive by any measure, the designer pieces are often cheaper than if purchased brand new.)
