Book well in advance if you want to score one of the five elegant suites in this tiny, exclusive hotel set in a historic hot springs resort district. The rooms (which are either European or Japanese style) are kitted out with pretty much every designer accoutrement imaginable (Hermès cutlery, anyone?) and come with private hot springs tubs. Onsite amenities include lush gardens, a gourmet restaurant, and access to Villa 32’s public (also exclusive, but open to non-hotel guests) hot springs.

Perfect for a unique, Taiwanese getaway with a significant other. The service is flawless (all suites come with a personal butler), the public spaces are gorgeous, and the private hot springs tubs are divine. Don’t miss the onsite Italian restaurant, either–it’s got a great wine list.

Breakfast is included. European suites can only accommodate two guests, and Japanese suites can only accommodate a max of three guests. Children under 16 and pets are not permitted. All hotel guests are given access to Villa 32’s public hot spring, which is open daily from 10:00am to 11:00pm. The facilities include indoor and outdoor hot spring pools (seperated by gender), showers and changing area, a zen room, and a relaxation room. Meeting/event facilities for up to 40 people and valet parking are available.
