    VIBE

Cork’s exposed brick walls, dark wood furnishings, and industrial-chic light fixtures combine to create the intimate, chic wine bar we all wish would open in our neighborhood. With 160 varieties of wine, this is an oenophile’s paradise, though if you're a wine newbie, don't worry − the super knowledgeable staff will guide you in the right direction. The tasty small plates like rosemary chicken liver bruschetta and red wine-braised rabbit impress foodies too. Bring someone special to fully enjoy the romantic, candlelit atmosphere.

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

A romantic little number like a flirty sundress and strappy sandals

    WHY WE LIKE IT

The cozy, neighborhood-joint vibe. Sometimes it’s hard to find a nightlife spot that isn’t a dive or a glossy martini bar, but Cork has all the right elements for a let’s-come-here-every-Friday-night kind of place.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

The reservation policy. It would be nice if we could reserve seats outside of the pre-theater seating, especially when we come on date night. (Although we do appreciate the waitlist policy of allowing patrons to call 30 minutes in advance of arrival to put names in.)

    GOOD TO KNOW

Cork hosts a series of wine tastings and pairing classes, many of which support local charities. Be sure to check their website for upcoming special events and fundraisers before stopping in. Their sister store (Cork Market & Tasting Room) is just down the street and often holds tastings and classes. There is a USD 25 minimum per person for parties over eight people.
