Estadio in Washington, DC is a funky traditional Spanish restaurant that has stayed authentic to its original meat and fish dishes straight from Madrid

    VIBE

Take one step into this russet-colored resto and you’ll swear you’ve been transported to the calles of Madrid. Exposed brick walls, antique Spanish tiles, burnished wood tables, and wrought iron fixtures set the scene, while the small plates of cured meats and fresh fish will have you whispering delicioso in no time. We love coming with a group of girlfriends, snagging one of the communal tables, and ordering the Rioja and olives until closing time.

    CROWD

First-date couples and large groups of spirited friends

    WHAT WE WOULD WEAR

Something flirty like designer jeans, a silk top, and our funkiest heels.

    WHY WE LIKE IT

In a city of stuffy steak joints, the fun and exotic vibe here is a great change of pace from the usual clubby scene.

    WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE

We had a bad experience with the hostess who unapologetically gave our table away as we stood right there.

    GOOD TO KNOW

On Saturdays and Sundays, they serve up a yummy brunch menu featuring hearty dishes like torrijas (warm Spanish toast), foie gras scrambled eggs, and slow-roasted pork with fried eggs.
