Swanky Indian restaurant that’s one of DC’s hottest dining spots. With strands of crystals hanging from the ceiling, blonde wood tables, and crisp white linens, the modern décor is the perfect accompaniment to the fashionably creative Indian dishes coming out of the kitchen. Although not strictly traditional, the flavorful grilled meats, curries, and rice dishes are a fun take on the Indian classics, and the lively crowd sure eats it up.
A well-heeled mix of DC socialites, party-goers, and jetsetters at night, and the business set by day.

WHY WE LIKE IT
The sleek décor, the glamorous crowd, the inventive dishes–we love it all. Also, this is a great place for vegetarians, given the range of veggie stews, chutneys, and dumplings on the menu.
WHAT WE WOULD CHANGE
The food is a little overpriced for what it is, and we think the naan should be complimentary (USD 8 for a bread basket?).
GOOD TO KNOW
Rasika offers a pre-theater menu, as well as catering services (check the website for details).
